It's a MAD MAD MAD LIB WORLD


Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Libs

One day last year when I was creating my web site- MANYMUSES STUDIO
I was having a bit of sport on my Moremuses page and decided to add some links to fun and quirky places on the net. I have always loved Mad-libs so I decided to throw in a couple of quick links to some of the best sites for word-o-philes like myself. I was astounded by the results.

It seems there are literally thousands of people out there just like yourselves,
searching the world for opportunities to put adjectives and verbs in compromising positions!

The phrase mad-libs has now become the most frequently searched-for term that brings visitors to my web site!
Hey, give the people what they want, I say and I intend to give it to you good, you filthy rabble.

I know just how you feel, my fellow lovers of the mother tongue.
There is nothing like crafting something sublimely absurd with words.
How I love the parts of speech. Once I get started doing a few quality Mad-libs, I find it hard to stop.
I insert the names of my mad-cap friends and when I have finished having my way with them, email them the results complete with ridiculous scenarios and of course, off-color adjectives and compromising entanglements.

The word ham, for instance, takes on a rather more fascinating meaning full of subtle ironies when juxtaposed against another word such as....say...undulating or perhaps flaccid.
It is the poetry of the common man. Found poetry.

Mad-libs bring such simple joy to so many. They may very well save our society from ruin. Don't knock it. Nothing else seems to be working...

So, on this note of peace and goodwill to all, I bring you, what you all seem to be clamoring for-
an entire page devoted to nothing else but the beloved MAD-LIB!
